We Need Your Voice:
Dear Lomond Families,
Our Lomond PTO efforts are in full swing and we’re getting ready for the next school year! We
would like to invite you to get involved and have some fun!
Click here to view the summary of the various event coordinators and committee roles for the
2021-2022 school year. We hope you will thoughtfully consider our invitation to continue in your
present role, express interest in serving for the first time, explore a new role, or just ask any questions you have about PTO and how we work together.
Simple Steps to Help Lomond
See the flyer HERE to discover how you can earn money for Lomond just by doing your regular grocery shopping at Heinen’s. There’s also information on scanning your receipts from any store where you purchase Box Tops for Education qualifying products. This new process eliminates the need to clip, save and send Box Tops to school. Giant Eagle does not offer its Apples for Students program for 2020-21.

Volunteering
In typical years, the district welcomes volunteers for a variety of events, classroom needs and more. Although volunteering may look a little different this year, all volunteers must register and complete a background check. This year, the district’s Family & Community Engagement Center (FACE) will be taking over these background checks from the human resources department. If you have questions or would like to schedule your background check call 216-295-6268 or email: volunteer_face@shaker.
Community Resources
As we make our way through a very different school year, discover community resources and ways to engage here. Also, be sure to check out the 2020-21 Lomond Ledger, the PTO’s annual welcome back newsletter.
ABOUT LOMOND PTO
We welcome your help
We welcome your voice and appreciate your participation. You’re already a member of the PTO – as are all parents or guardians of Shaker Heights School District students. There are no membership fees, dues, or requirements. Contact our 2020-21 Lomond PTO Co-presidents Mozella Colon and Melissa Kalan with your suggestions, questions, or to lend a hand.
What we do
Our goal is to work with you to enrich our children’s education, build community, and to support Shaker schools.
During a typical year we support:
- Red Raider Day
- Blacktop Bash
- Pumpkin Affair
- International Families Night
- Laps for Lomond
and many, many more events, opportunities, and teacher grants to enhance learning.
Connect with us
Because we’re an all-volunteer operation, every helping hand makes a world of difference. We’d love your participation; in any way you can provide it. Keep an eye on our Lomond PTO Facebook and Web pages.
